In 2009 and 2010 we spent a few days shooting images in Cha-am, and back home we edited the rushes so as to produce short clips that can easily be downloaded or viewed online. If you have never been to Cha-am, you will get an overview of what it is like. If you have ever been in Cha-am, the videos will probably bring back good memories. And if you live here or come often, you will recognize many of your usual spots. In any case, we hope you enjoy our videos!
Welcome to Cha-am, Part 1
In this video we take you from the train station to the beach, where you can choose to relax, go for a swim or take a ride on the infamous banana boat. Then we'll head to the harbour and taste some delicious seafood Cha-am is famous for. Straight from the fishing boats to your plate! Not "im" yet? Let's go back to the beach and enjoy some fresh fruits. Finally we'll take a stroll in the night market that takes place on Wednesdays, next to the train station.
In this second part of our journey, we put an emphasis on temples (especially Wat Cha-am), the Forest Park, and the southern part of the beach, which is said to be "more Thai" and even more laid-back.
