There is a hospital in Cha-Am, as well as several clinics and pharmacies. Other hospitals can be found in Phetchaburi and Hua Hin, especially the Bangkok Hospital which is the brand new first class hospital in the region.

Hospitals in Cha-am and Phetchaburi

Cha-Am Hospital is on Khlong Thian road, in the north of Cha-Am. If you go by yourself and come from the beachfront, take Narathip road then turn right at the Family Mart, a few yards before Phetkasem road (the main road from Bangkok to Hua Hin). Go straight, pass the junction and you will find the hospital on the right side of the road.

Cha-Am hospital is a small hospital in a small city, it's barely OK if you have an open wound or you've just been bitten by some animal and you require a basic and urgent treatment. But if you need any further care, you should go to a hospital in Hua Hin or Phetchaburi. The closest hopitals in Phetchaburi are Petcharat Hospital (on Phetkasem road, at Phetchaburi junction) and Muangphet Thonburi Hospital, also known as Phet-Thon (on Phetkasem road, close to Big C).

There are also clinics in Cha-Am, two of them being located on Narathip road, on either side of the junction with Phetkasem road.

Hospitals in Hua Hin

There is a public hospital in Hua Hin (located between soi 10 and soi 12), and the Bangkok Hospital opened in 2011 (located near soi 94). The opening of the Bangkok Hospital meant good news to all the people who couldn't wait to see a real, first class hospital in the area. It is expensive, of course, but it is highly recommended.

Police

The main police station is located at the western end of Narathip road, near the train station and the main Post office. A smaller station can be found at the other end of Narathip road, on the beachfront.
