At her late father's home in ChiangRai, my Thai wife told me that having a tokay around the house brings good fortune. She did not say 'in the house' though. Several years ago in the kitchen of the town house here in Cha-am, her daughters screamed when finding one in a cupboard under the sink and chased it out with a broom - I even took a video shot of the event but the creature disappeared so fast you can only recognize it by frame-by-frame proceding through the blurr. So you did it in the proper Thai way, indeed.

Btw, about the November 18th comment: be it that 'bob' does not, 'bekaert' appears like the name of a fellow Flemishman. I'm from Mechelen, now for the first time staying a rather longer time in Cha-am.

The funny thing is, the day after my wife got bitten by a dog! Took her to the hospital then she was off to the temple to "tam boon" (make amend).

The weather was very nice today wasn't it. It's probably the best period to visit Cha-am. Where do you stay Bob?
